I had the huge honor of speaking at the “Regional Conference on ICT to Combat Human Trafficking” in Bangkok, alongside our hosts from Microsoft, United Nations, and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and more.
We came together at this event to address the pressing global issue of human trafficking and share innovative ways that technology can offer solutions. During my session, “Using Case Management Systems to Accelerate Assistance to People in Need,” I had the privilege of discussing the groundbreaking work we had undertaken in Singapore at AvePoint, where we used Microsoft Dynamics as an XRM platform to modernize and transform multiple service social service ministries in the Singapore government, empowering case workers and social service professionals with cloud and mobile technology. This initiative significantly improved the effectiveness, efficiency, and engagement of those dedicated to assisting children and families in need.
Looking back on this experience, not only was the core project one of the most fulfilling projects I’ve ever worked on in my life (for the tangible positive impacts to local communities and social services in Singapore), but I was also grateful for the opportunity to share at this event how we were contributing to the improvement of the nation’s well-being as an inspiration for others.
